a reporter's trifecta
Every now and then, a news story comes along with what I call a "trifecta" - three key ingredients that make it especially interesting or salacious.
Meet Mr. Kevin Magrane (right), a 36-year-old teacher at Port Jefferson High School in Long Island. He was arrested early Thursday after officers spotted his purple Plymouth, which had been noticed "acting suspiciously" at a bus stop on multiple occasions recently in Rocky Point.
When Suffolk County police officers searched Magrane's piece of shit at 7:05 a.m., about an hour before attendance, they found unspecified quantities of Zanax, pot and the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis.
Bing! Bing! Bing! We have a winner!
Magrane, of Locust Drive in Rocky Point, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. No word yet if he'll keep shaping young minds at Port Jeff.

He was my teacher and I always thought he was on something...although I hope he can continue "shaping young minds at Port Jeff" because he was really nice.
Haha, I had Magrane as a computer teacher for the first half of this year. One day he had this complete mood-swing on our class and has been crazy ever since. Everyday he'd give speeches on how we were "worthless" and "wastes of human flesh". Thats probably about the time the pot kicked in. A typical Port Jeff drama for the year...
The day before Magrane got arrested, he told our class how he was so thankful for his life, kids, wife, etc. He also mentioned how his car axle broke and was bragging on how he "fixed it himself". The next day he didnt come to school(arrested...)and everyone claimed he died in his car since he "fixed it himself". They were WAY off! We found out that night and all my friends were laughing/screaming watching the report. Quite fun.
Yo i had Magrane as teacher dude too he was awsume, i didn't do shit for the first quarter and he didn't do anything, i love that guy, i totally hope he comes back just so i can ask him if he's "got anything."
Do you have your facts straight? What happened to innocent before proven guilty???

personally, he gave me a 80 while i was the only one that did the auctal work in the class. aand then hes like ill make it better and gave me a 85.

i feel bad for him though, even though he came back to port jeff, he must feel like shit because of this, and teacher probably are avoiding him

I have Magrane. it seems liek hes on something. although i feel bad for him coming back to PJ and not having a single person on his side.intereating article. i am often scared magrane will flip with one of his "minor" mood swings. LMAO.

he was kinda a dick to me somethimes. And I KNEW he was on something. ha ha. Although I do wonder why he was on Cialis. And what kind of E.D. did he have that he needed "unspecified amounts" of it?
i had him last semester. worst semester of my life. when he got angry, he bashed both fsts on the table and screamed as load as he can. he was boring and he hated me the most. he also sang backstreet boys for at random times and made odd noises. such a freak!!!!!!

Yeah--he came back to port jeff about three years after the incident. He's still a wacko though. He likes to sing Hannah Montanna songs and hum the tune to "a dream is a wish your heart makes" while we all google his mug shot. But his class is like mad easy, considering he's convinced he teaches math, not computers.

Obviously he was and still acts like he is on something. Somebody should tell the man he is a computer teacher, not algebra or economics or whatever the hell he always tries to teach us now. That class was the biggest waste of time and he always acted like a raging psychopath. But... He was always a nice guy Can't help but feel bad for him.
