a wedding in newport

So I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of my girlfriend's best friend in college last weekend in Newport, Rhode Island. Great time; never been there before. Despite the Ireland in autumn-type weather -- overcast skies and always a mist -- we made the most of the OceanCliff Resort, originally built in 1864 right on the Narragansett Bay.

One question about Newport's locals, however. What's up with the red pants, guys?
